UTsend – University of Toronto (St George)

The U of T downtown campus provides the following service: https://send.utoronto.ca/

UTSend is a TEMPORARY file transfer service for University of Toronto users to make it easy to move files, including large files up to 1.0 GB, in and out of University of Toronto.

If the files are of a sensitive nature, encryption is recommended. This can be done using open source tools such as 7-Zip File Manager – Instructions for using 7-Zip to encrypt files (Columbia University)

Wisply

A secure free service that does this for you is https://whisp.ly/ . This requires you to have a dropbox or google drive to use. Unfortunately UofT does not allow access to any outside applications so use with the UofT office365 onedrive will not work.
